Often times, anxiety attacks happen when we least expect them to happen. In most cases, this condition happens when we are going through our routines. An anxiety attack causes a lot of very uncomfortable physical symptoms. According to medical experts, an anxiety attack causes health palpitations, increased in blood pressure, hot flashes, trembling, chest pains, nausea, dizziness and others. Anxiety attack causes some people to panic that they sometimes do some really embarrassing stuff.
Although anxiety attack causes only mild to moderate symptoms, the prolonged exposure of a person to the symptoms of anxiety attacks could cause a lot of hard to his or her body. Studies show that people who constantly suffer from anxiety attacks are more prone to heart diseases and hypertension compared to people who do not have anxiety attacks. Furthermore, anxiety attack causes a person to lose his or her self confidence. People who constantly experience panic attacks often find it difficult to lead a normal life. Many people who used to be successful in their fields lost their career because they could no longer function well due to this mental disorder.
Dealing With People With Anxiety Attacks
In many cases, prolonged anxiety attack cause a person to develop a kind of morbid fear of dying or losing his or her mind. For these people, the fear of dying or losing their minds is very real that they tend to be obsessed with this idea. In fact, some people who are suffering from panics are so convinced that they are dying or losing their minds that they tend to think of nothing else but dying and going crazy.
In it is not uncommon for these people to rush to the hospital every now and then feeling certain that they are doing to die any minute if somebody does not give them the proper medical attention. Of course this situation can be quite irritating to the people in the emergency room but a person who is suffering from an anxiety attack can be quite persistent. Since he or she believes that he or she is a serious medical condition, he or she will not really stop pestering the doctors in the emergency room until somebody give him or her something. In dealing with this type of situations, doctors and nurses should just give that person some placebo and then send him or her over to the psychiatric wing of the hospital for some therapy.
